Motherhood in Little Moments: Why I Take So Many Pictures (and Why I Share Them)

Today my best friend called me a “picture mom.” She meant it in the best way, but honestly… she’s right. I’m that mom who always has her phone out, snapping pictures of tiny hands, messy curls, and moments that probably look ordinary to everyone else, but to me, they’re everything.

Because one day, these little things won’t be my everyday. The toys won’t be all over the floor. She won’t ask me to dance with her in the kitchen or to sit with her while she plays. So I take the pictures. The blurry, silly, heart-full pictures. Not because I need the perfect shot, but because I want to remember how it felt. right here, right now.

And I share them, too.

Not for likes or attention, but because I know how fast this season goes. Because I want family far away to see her grow. Because maybe another mom scrolling at midnight will see my chaos and realize she’s not alone. Because joy deserves to be shared, even the quiet, everyday kind.

Motherhood happens in these little moments, and pictures are how I freeze them before they slip away. One day, I’ll look back and see that these weren’t just photos, they were proof of a life that was full, loud, and deeply blessed.

And I may have a slight case of influencer flu 😛
